A Hilfr cleaning happens in five steps: you search by postal code and pick a cleaner, book a date and number of hours, the cleaner confirms, you agree the tasks in messages, and the cleaning is carried out — payment is only charged after the visit. Here is the whole flow, step by step.
1. Find your cleaner
Enter your postcode and see the cleaners who cover your area. Each profile shows the hourly rate, a description and reviews from other customers — and everyone is ID-verified and employed under a collective agreement. If you're unsure about anything, you can message the cleaner before you book.
2. Book and save your card — nothing is charged yet
Choose a date, time and duration, and see the full price before you confirm. Your payment card is stored securely, but nothing is charged yet — the amount is reserved about two days before the visit and charged about two days after the cleaning has been completed.
3. Agree the details in chat
After booking, you can message each other: what should be prioritised, where's the vacuum cleaner, and how does the cleaner get in? For the first visit, we recommend being home so you can go through the tasks together — after that, many manage with a key or a door code.
Remember: by default, the cleaner uses your own cleaning products and equipment, so please set them out.
4. The cleaning itself
Your cleaner cleans according to what you've agreed. Should something unexpectedly break, you're covered by Hilfr's insurance with IF — contact customer service and we'll help.
5. Payment, invoice and tax deduction
Once the cleaning is done, the amount is charged and your invoice appears under Invoices on your profile — including the wage portion you can report as your servicefradrag (the Danish tax deduction for household services) at skat.dk.
Happy with the visit? Then leave your cleaner a review, and consider making it a recurring booking — the same person comes back, and upcoming visits are created automatically.
